Grit for baby peachicks

Loretta Smith lost several birds when she was starting out with peas due to feeding them a higher calcium diet. She took the birds to her vet when they were ailing and the vet found small calcium crystals in their kidneys from it.
I lost four breeding age birds just before breeding season due to visceral gout. The lab results pointed to tainted feed that had cattle mineral in it but they thought it was the ruminson that is also deadly to horses.

What brand feed was you using ?
We have our own special recipe made custom for us in two-ton batches, the problem is that they did not ensure that the hopper they shuttle the feed in was clean. That hopper had leftover cattle mineral in it and that contaminated our batch of feed.
