Of course ya silly goof! They are just rocks..... but if it was reversed, chicks might choke on adult grit.

Lol I just filled up my grit container for the birds with chick grit. They don’t seem to like the larger rocks in the adult grit bag. I will usually buy a bag of each chick grit and the larger grit and mix together 50/50 to give them.

It's "ok" in the sense that it won't hurt them... but it won't help them with digestion either and their systems would likely just push it through.

For comparison, chick grit is on left, medium/pullet center, large/hen right.

A little bit may help, though I'd be careful how much of anything is being taken in while you're treating it. I've only dealt with impacted crop once and I treated the hen with small doses of mineral oil and gentle upward crop massages until the blockage cleared up.

Where appropriate sized grit could help most is preventing the impaction in the first place.

Yup...if impaction was caused by lack of grit in gizzard impeding digestion and backing things up.
