Grit in poop?

Has anyone ever noticed grit being passed through in the poop? This may be normal...but I wanted to ask here in case it is not...

I found what looked like alot of little white granite pieces of grit (varying sizes) in my 26 week old pullets poop on the poop board the last few days....

normal. That is why they keep eating more. If none passed, they would pretty soon explode !

I thought so, but since I've haven't seen it until now after all these weeks, just wondered!

lol yes that is normal. the grit sits in their gizzards to help grind up the food like grains and other things... stands to reason that the grit gets worn down and passes thru the system...hence the need to replenish!
