I was wondering, at what age do I need to start giving my chicks grit? I don't have them yet, I'll get them May 2cd and I'm trying to get everything together. I have bought chick starter. Does that already have grit in it?
    I hope I figure out what I'm doing soon![IMG]

HI! You're right, chick starter does have grit in it. I wouldn't give additional grit until they are old enough to eat treats such as lettuce, etc. And then you have to have a small grit, like parakeet grit available for them.
Later when they get to be around 5-6 wks old you can go to chick grit from feed store, it's a bit smaller than regular grit.
