Grit Substitute for Ducklings

Does anyone know if medicated chick starter is ok for Bantam ducklings at one week?

If it has amprolium and/or bacitracin it is fine, but they will need niacin.

Can something like Quaker Grits be used (hominy grits)?

You need insoluble chick grit.

Note that oyster shell is *not* grit!

Okay, I have a confession to make... my ducklings don't get grit and they do just fine. I'm not talking about just a few ducklings a year either. Would they be better off with grit? Maybe, but I'm too lazy, lol. I guess my point is that don't worry about it too much as long as you are feeding non-seed feed.
