Do they have access to their run? My chicks have been outside since 3 weeks, they're 8 now, and I dont provide grit. They find it themselves in their run.

The PDZ is inside their coop of which they have access too throughout the day. They're free to go in and out and then we lock them up inside at night

PDZ will not harm the chicks. I've used it for years.

You're welcome! The poop deck is my favorite part of the coop. I spend all of 1-2 minutes maybe, each a.m. scooping up everything with a kitty litter scoop. The poop goes in a bucket and out to compost pile. It takes no time, keeps smell down and reduces flies.
