grit

new to chickens--my 2 chickens are allowed out 2 or 3 times a week,do i still need to give them grit . do they get enough from the yard ?

Just depends... I keep a container in my coop (it's actually made for mineral blocks for horses) one side has oyster shell and the other has grit!! I have it free choice for them. Figure if they need it they have it!! It's better that the alternative!!

I free range mine and just throw a little in the feed bucket from time to time just in case.
