Grit???????

Maybe bananas (they are so soft) and watermelon (isn't it 90% water anyway)? If they don't have access to bare ground I would start offering it to them. Mine was about 4 dollars for 10 lbs. Bought it 3 months ago and my six chicks have used about half of it.

so the kids got moved out here this afternoon... i think there's enough grit available to them... i know its not perfect and if you guys see any glaring errors that i missed please feel free to tell me!

They should be able to find all the grit that they need. I was always worried so I gave mine grit in a dish.

try hard boiling the eggs and crushing it up, my chicks love it

thanks! i actually tried scrambled eggs the other day and they LOVED them... hard boiling some eggs might be a better idea though so i can do it in advance... im sure they'd still like it

I usually do hard boiled. Not that I usually feed my chickens eggs...
