Grit, I only caught onto this thread.....I'm so sorry you and your DH are going thru this. I wish the best to both of you. My DH just got diagnosed with walking pneumonia, and is on a 5 day antibiotic to clear it up and a CAT scan later this week. This winter has been bad for a few of us folks....

on here. Please know we are thinking of you and your family. It's the least we can do for each other..... Best wishes, please let us know how he is and, of course, how your are doing too.

I work in the cath lab at our local hospital .. so I understand what you're going through. ONe of my jobs is to "tend" the families of emergent heart caths and help keep them informed .. it's the favorite part of my job. I meet so many wonderful people and there is a bonding that takes place in a moment of crisis.

I wish I could have been there in person for YOU!

Know that you and DH are in my thoughts and prayers ..

Gritsar, I'm so glad he's doing well. My DH gave me a scare like that too last Labor Day Wknd. I had to "man up" to get him to listen to me. It took him by surprise, be he listened to me. I was a paramedic for too many years and saw too many wives let their husbands go too long with chest pain etc, because their husbands wouldn't let them do what needed to be done. You may have to remind him once in awhile, but he's too important for you not to "man up."

In the long run he'll appreciate it. Mine still tells me that every once in awhile. Rest well tonight and know that he is well taken care of.

Funny you should mention medals...

We have a joke going now....

I got the flu, so DH got a worse case of it.
I got pneumonia, so he got double pneumonia.
I hurt my back, so he broke his leg.
He then decided to take the lead and have a heart attack.
I decided I didn't want to play this "game" anymore and let him have the trophy.
