Gross... yes... but toxic??? Need to know, please help.

I think maybe it makes pups grow quickly? Chicken poo is the first thing our pup Jax looks for when we take him outside and he's growing like a weed!

I havent read much of this post but try feeding your dog pineapple. Apparently it makes their poo taste disgusting to them. Its an actual training method that im using on a new puppy. Hoping this helps.

Eh, I doubt it. My two came from champion kennels and were fed fancy-shmancy organic raw human grade expensive stuff with extra vitamins and special ground burger, steamed pumpkin and yogurt mixed in. They were nursed by their own dam from tiny puppies and weaned later than most puppies, too. Despite all that, they ate poop, grass, weeds, cat litter, plastic bits chewed off their toys, couch pillow stuffing, sticks, bits of firewood, cat vomit, any bees or moths they were able to chomp, the occasional rock. Dogs just eat random things, I don't think they have a sharp sense of taste.

taste is highly connected to smell...and dogs have a MUCH stronger sense of smell than we do....so its not a matter of them not having a sharp sense of taste...they just have very different preferences from us.

Try a little tobasco sauce on the poop worked for me, now my shepherd does not eat horse poop anymore. She is not sure if it has been tainted or not:lol:

There is nothing wrong with the dog at all. Almost all dogs will eat bird droppings whether they are championship holders or alley curs. It is just normal dog behavior. It's not a health issue or an emotional issue or anything else. It's just a normal dog behavior. I wouldn't worry about it.
