When we got our chicks, I was not finding shaved pine just shaved cedar and heard not good to use so I used what I had for my parakeets - crushed walnut shells. So far it is working out really well. Doesn't bother the birds, and works with poop management - actually scoops - birds are not eating it. - Just wondering if anyone else has ever used it?
