Groundhog Day, FEB 2, more winter to come?

Dear Wife, who is from the tropical islands in the Philippines, has had about enough of our cold northern Minnesota winter this year. I say it's not over until the groundhog says it's over. I'm guessing he will see his shadow and tell us we got another 6 weeks (at least) of winter ahead. For those keeping score, here are his past predictions....

I don't know when those 18 times of "end of winter" were predicted, certainly not in my lifetime!

I suspect the groundhog just gets his weather info from the news like most of us do.... Although I think his predictions are mostly accurate.

Still, I wonder if we should put so much trust about the end of winter predictions in our little friends.

We’ve actually driven through Punxsutawney before (not on Groundhog’s day) and everyone had groundhog statues in their front yard! It’s a whole thing apparently.

It’s just a groundhog, he can’t predict weather.
