I looked on YouTube for the dancing Groundhog scene at the end of CaddyShack but could not find it. I was going to put that on here. That is a classic

When you see them in feilds like rats.

When you see buildings and houses with collapsed foundations due to their tunneling.

When you see gardens bare of vegetation due to their constant eating.

When you smell their heavy stink like musk.

They are far from cute.

They are a pestualnce here and considered a rodent to be erradicated.

Also, they are visicous! You should see the claws extended.

Well I have to agree with Miss Prissy. The groundhogs here ripped my cat from stem to stern. The vet said that he thinks they are the worst. In addition to the open wound, she was badly bruised as well. They also push dirt up on my foundation supports causing them to rot.

By the way, they printed a report in the paper today and Phil's prediction rate is only 50% so......

I still want one big snow!

"Since the clearing of forests provided it with much more suitable habitat, the groundhog population is probably higher now than it was before the arrival of European settlers in North America. " (quoted from online source)
Hmmmm, looks to me Mr Groundhog was here first...now if I was going to spend my energy getting all hyped up about an animal and calling him names...I would start with the Starling and continue with the non-native invasive species that us humans thought would be such a great idea to introduce to America.

I don't know what part of PA that dumb rodent lives in, but it was cloudy here all day long and no way he would have seen his shadow.

Somebody shined a light on him..I just know it.

btw..I never leave my weather forecasting up to meteorologists or groundhogs. Neither one is ever right.
