Groundhog mittens?

I just noticed Groundhog day is coming up soon - and I am sooooooooooo sick of all this cold weather ( it snowed today

) and all I have to say is if that groundhog tells me I am in for 6 more weeks of winter I swear I will find him and make a pair of mittens out of him !!
I have forgotten what my toes feel like ! my poor ducks are going to need swimming lessons - their little kiddie pool has been frozen soild for so long - I have not been able to sit on my new couch ( dogs have taken over sleeping on it )
I want to be warm again LOL
does anyone know how to make mittens from a groundhog ( just in case that over grown rat tells me 6 more weeks )

LOL! I feel your pain!!


I don't really know the saying, but regardless of what Pux. Phil says... it'll still be 6 weeks 'til the official first day of spring.


And Way longer than that until I can feel warm. My toes have felt frozen for months, too. The only time they really warm up is in the shower, when the water is so hot I can barely stand it!

Oh, and warm socks fresh from the dryer ROCK!

I say skip the mittens. He'd make nicer furry socks!

the way I see it I bet Lacy could kill him, MissPrissy can think of a dozen ways to cook him, and with all the crafty people on this site someone would have a pattern for mittens/socks or whatever !!

Groundhog day is Feb-2 and mitten day is Feb-3 LOL

on a plus side it is warming up till 55 today - all that nasty white stuff is melting and making a mess of everything and I think I can feel 2 of my toes !!!

55! Time to break out the shorts and sun glasses! Can't wait to see temps in the 50's again. Been at least 2 months since last time... and will probably be at least another month or two to go before next time... common day highs in the 50's!

if weather holds like it computer has it right now - we should be in the lower 60's tomorrow and for the rest of the week into next week - totally awesome, I really hope it stays like this for awhile - I really need to finish painting my livingroom LOL ( and that is hard to do with 6 dogs in the way )

I might even open a window or two tomorrow

maybe I wont have to kill that groundhog after all
