Grower feed?

Hey y'all. Well, my first batch of 6 chicks are all about 7-8 weeks now, and I was wondering when to take them off the starter to the grower feed? Thanks in advance.

You can start them on grower actually now.

Then switch to layer at about 16 weeks or so.

Yay! Thanks much! Looks like I get to make a run to the feed store tomorrow so I can start the switch.

Does that apply to all chicks? Do you have to change from the chick starter to the grower? All that is available at our local feed store is the chick starter and then the layer pellets. I have silkies and two bantam salmon faverolles. Some are 14 weeks old and I was wondering when to change to layer pellets? Thanks. Sorry to hijack the thread??
