Grower Starter vs Layer

MY starter grower says do not feed to laying hens. People say not to feed layer to young pullets less than 12-15 wks. I have both and they are together. What do you do? THey eat what ever the others eat. Anything they think you are trying to keep from them they want.

Feed them Flock raiser and leave oyster shell out for your layers. Flock raiser can be fed at any age.

I'm guessing that the reason the bag says not to feed the start/grow to the laying hens is because it's probably medicated.

There's no other reason i can think of to print a warning like that.

You could use Flock Raiser, like the others said, but if you can't find it, you could also use an unmedicated grower or an unmedicated game bird grower product.
