I have 5 wyandotte chicks that I am trying to determine the gender of as they grow. 'Blue' has a small lump where his/her's comb will be. Is this a growing comb? None of it's other siblings have one, does that mean that it is a rooster?
wyandottes are notoriously tricky to sex early as they have rose combs. Both pullets and cockerels will pink up quite a bit. You will not really know until they are about 12 weeks old. Others here on the forum have given away their girls, thinking they were boys, so be patient!
