I wouldn't give purslane and sunflowers to my chickens. I really like purslane myself. It's great in salads. And the sunflowers are too pretty to lose. But I do give them the squash and cakes that hide under the foliage until they're overgrown. And I give them the seeds heads after the sunflowers have dried up.

Why are sunflowers and purslane superfoods? I've never heard that before.
