"please tell me you have grapes!"
This is Shetan, who's growing up into a fine, young gentleman. He has a partner in crime, beta rooster, who happily lets Shetan be the alpha man and they are more often side by side than not. He gives me my space, with only a weak attempt here and there to see if I am still worthy of being above him socially and is kind to the hens. His watchfulness for dangers and keeping the others from getting in tiffs is top notch. He calls everyone over when treats are found and stands back while they eat - EXCEPT if it's grapes.
The boy LOVES grapes and goes bonkers, who knew a rooster's legs could move or spin so fast, lol. There's no calling anyone over for those, he'll barrel over, through or under them to get them. If any of them decide to give him chase for said grape, he swallows them whole lol. Don't let his picture below of contentedness and peaceful calm fool you, he had just finished running through and bowling over the others frantically, his mouth yapping the whole time, grabbing as many grapes as he could before they were gone. He is a grape fiend, and I only hope none of the others are hurt when he goes into his grape frenzy lol.
