Grown chicken with curled toes

It looks like scaly leg mites and left untreated can cause their toes to curl. Have you tried washing and applying vaseline?

I have put Vaseline on her feet... many of my chickens scales seem to be “molting” right now. Like they are able to peel of easily
her scales are thick and i think that’s Why it looks like that, i will continue to use Vaseline but they have not gotten worse so i dont think that it is why

If you are using vaseline then it must not be mites. Other than mites the stroke may have caused issues that we are unaware of or a vitamin deficiency.

thank you for all of the advice
i think that i will start giving all of my chickens grower feed... would that have enough protein ?
also focusing on her feet... would you recommend any other treatment besides changing food to help her and her curled toes?

Might depend on the protein percentage.
IIRC 'grower' can be anything from 15-18%.

Good nutrition is always better than poor.

Not sure about the toes.
@Eggcessive or @Wyorp Rock might know,
or know someone who does.

8 year old chicken
she is all better now but ever since then she has had curled toes and has trouble walking
What i have seen is that her hock(pretty sure) is enlarged on both feet. Her actual toe nails are curled and her toes are forced to curl because of the nails.
I have tried to make shoes out of cardboard but she will peck/eat at anything that is near her. I also give rooster booster vitamins in their water.
She is constantly eating and drinking so it doesn’t have too much of an effect on her
Also i cant trim her curled toes because her whole toe it curled on each foot
she is my only chicken who gets yogurt so she gets that occasionally, also mealworms, lettuce, or watermelon as occasional treats but she eats scratch grains

Can you get a photo of all of her - what she looks like?
She had crooked toes. I would try trimming the nails, a little bit each week to see if that helps.
I would get some Poultry Cell vitamins and direct dose her once a week at 1cc per 3 pounds of weight.

You mention her "hock" is swollen on both feet - circle what you are talking about.

Her age is doing her no favors. I don't think you would be able to correct the feet by wrapping or making shoes for her. Sadly, I think the best you can do is manage the nails and see if that helps.

Does she lay eggs? Grower feed is probably fine as long as it's at least 16% protein.

You mention she's constantly eating. Is she struggling to get to food and water?
I would try to place food/water where she can get to it easily. Check to make sure her crop is emptying overnight.

Here are some more pictures of her legs

Do you mean like filing her nails? or how low do you want me to trim to?
i will look into the vitamins
so in the picture... at the top of her leg is what i think is the hock and i think it is a bit swollen but I’m not sure
she used to lay eggs but then she started a molt and is towards the end of it but she hasn’t laid an egg yet.
No she is extremely ambitious for food so she will move or run if she wants it but its not that graceful
I do place her near food and water every day and her crop is emptying
