growth on chicken beak

Here is a picture of the growth on the black cochin's beak I was asking about. Thanks for the info. on posting pictures. My daughter got it set up for me. If anyone knows what this is on his beak, please let me know. My daughter wanted to show him.

I don't know...looks like some type of tumor. Maybe someone else can help, sorry.
 
The picture is kind of small but it almost looks like a scab on the beak comb junction that got infected and now has a continuously growing scab.

Just my guess.
 
this thread isn't SO old, so I'll try ressurecting it. I have a silkie that seems to have a similar growth. Wondering if anyone has any insight.

Try searching for pics of Avian or Fowl Pox to see if it looks like what may be starting.

I have a friend who just went through dry pox and she said that wasn't what it looked like to her. I just got home from being gone for almost three weeks, and I'm not sure how quickly this thing developed and when. She's been broody- that's all I know. Poor little fluff butt. I'll be watching her, and I have her seperated to break her anyway.
