Hello, this is the first time I've dealt with this so I'm looking for some suggestions. This has been on one of my girls faces for a few days now. It's hard and its external without a real bulge on the inside of her mouth. No other noticeable changes in behavior or eating. I don't see a wound. Any suggestions on what to do? Or should it be lanced?

Does there appear to be any scratches? I've had a hen get an abscess on her face after being scratched and it went away after a while.

No, I don't really see any scratch or scab. Did you happen to apply anything that helped improve it?

Actually, upon look at it again, there looks like there could be a small scab on the right side of the bald area. This could be why it happened. The scab on my hen's face wasn't bad when I saw the abscess but it had healed for a little bit before I saw it.

I didn't. I let it be as it really didn't need it. I also don't live by my flock for most of the year due to school and this was during one of my visits home so I couldn't do much anyways. I did think about lancing it as it was pus filled but I wouldn't have been able to keep it clean as I was about to leave again.

I would look closely for any white or yellow material inside the beak which might be a sign of canker, a protozoan infection carried by pigeons. Unfortunately, tumors can be common in this area. I would watch it closely to see if it grows fast or affects eating and drinking. This link below has many pictures of canker:
