Growth on leg/toe?

Hi all, I just noticed this on one of my hens- it looks horrible. Her other leg is starting to have the same thing happen. I can’t say I’ve noticed this before- is this normal?? Sorry if this is a dumb question none of my other hens have this, however she is the oldest (8) and only one of her breed I have. Thanks!

Both are Welsummers.
