Growth slowed by cool weather?

My birds are 3 weeks old Friday 23 of May. It has been cool, 40's at night, they still have lights, don't huddle, 60-75 for day temps. They are in an outside coop, plenty of air and sunshine. My first batch.
I have 50 Cornish x from Welp. Very active. I don't have weights, but they don't seem to be eating like I assumed they would. Not gorging. Their feed is wheat, oats, and barley, ground and fermented. They eat it but without gusto. They also get 8 oz of lean meats, ground freezer burnt stuff, and 8 oz of fatty fatty stuff from butchering each day. I am beginning to hold off on the meat till later in the day to encourage them to eat their grains.

So, I am seeking opinions, real life experiences or guesses as to whether this is normal? I won't fret about it, Just from what I have read on this board I should be running through the feed.

Thanks for your help

I don't feed my birds animal proteins which could be why I don't experience this lax attitude in my birds. I don't think their fat intake should be so high because while they are fulfilling their calorie intake requirement, they are doubtfully getting the protein and carb percentages that it will require for real growth to occur.

Growth might be affected by colder weather but not in the sense that they eat less. More so that their energies go to staying warmer vs. gaining muscle and bone. Temps in the 40s at night shouldn't be stunting your birds. If there is a source of heat, I wouldn't worry about it. As long as they have a place to go and dry off and warm up during a wet cold day.

Sounds like you are doing it perfect. Maybe not so much fatty food. The ferment feed is what keeps them satisfied and not so starving. You are doing it just right.
