Growth vs. Layer Feed

My hens are 26 weeks old and I switched them from grower to layer feed at 20 weeks. They are still not laying and I am wondering if I should put them back on growth until they atart laying.

I think you made the right choice switching them to layer feed. It's the right age for it. They will lay sooner than later. 6 mos is the average beginning age for laying... 2 weeks ago for you. It CAN take up to almost a year! Its better to have them on the right diet so that you know it's not the food that is keeping them from laying, in my opinion.

stick to the layer food-they will lay very soon depending on what breed you have-I have birds that were 22 weeks and laid and then I have some 8 month olds that Im still waiting for their first eggs

This is why I love this group! Second guessing myself, I was ready to run to the feed store at the crack of dawn for some growth formula. Now I can just calm down and rest assured I am doing the right thing. Where else could I get answers to my questions in a matter of minutes. Now I can just chill with a cup of tea and enjoy this beautiful sunny Saturday morning. I hope you all enjoy this great day and thank you for your input. You guys/gals are awesome!
