What are some methods I can use to correct egg eating? I got a few birds yesterday and today much to my dismay they had cracked the eggs open and ate the yolk

What are you feeding them?
Is their enough protein in their feed?

Where did you get them? Are you sure they weren't sold for being egg eaters?

Sounds like they sold you a real problem.......
Once egg eating starts it's almost impossible to cure....
If you can collect the eggs more often during the day....

Switch to roll out nest boxes..more eat the culprits.


Careful. ..if you wait too long to correct the problem, ALL of your chickens will learn to eat eggs.
