hey chickendoodle, thanks for being a good egg and saving those GF.
like everyone has said, it's sad that people see GF as "disposable" pets - literally.
and although it's "just a fish" nothing deserves to die in such a careless, cruel manner.
i agree that the school needs to get a letter about why this wasn't okay.
maybe next year the game can have little cups of water with toy fish or rubber ducks or a more appropriate sort of prize - not a living being.

When I was a kid they had live ducks that you threw the ring around, we (I think my dad rung them both) brought them home at the end of the night, and they lived for a little while on the farm then one day them and a bunch of chickens got dressed, but didnt go to town. At least they had a good time, till thier time was up.

Now, I didn't say anything about the animals, just your actions in response to the abuse. Humans barely get death for killing other humans, but stabbing at people and threatening them is no way to get things changed. If you want to get something changed, you have to make a difference in a way that doesn't get you in trouble. Educate them.

carp are the cockroaches of fish. they breed like mad, can live in virtually any conditions, eat everything in site and are pretty much worthless (the meat is no good). Nice to look at but not worth anything other than that. Once you have a few generations breed out all the pretty colors are gone and they're back to being an ugly brown fish.

Myself, I'd rather look at trout, bluegill, crappie or perch than a stupid carp.

about 6 years ago I went to OK state fair they had live iguanas as prizes went back a couple of years ago and did not see them but stayed away from the midway so not sure?
