Number says pkg was delivered to my front porch. I had mail in my box, where the plastic envelope would have fit. It wasn't there, not on my porch (would have to come in through closed gate and they're too lazy, except my regular carrier, which means it wasn't him). Not at my closest neighbors' houses. So, we are on hunt to find where they delivered my fabric!!!

ETA: Found. It will be here tomorrow. We had to go for our dr's appts an hour south and I closed the gate because the large plastic envelope would fit in the mail box. I've had two other deliveries off the same order from JoAnn this week, both stuffed in the box. This one would be even less so we didn't leave the gate open. After going round and round with FedEx and our newer employees at the P.O., found out that Mike did come here, found the gate closed, scanned the pkg delivered, BUT he took it back with him (raining). He says he'll bring it back tomorrow. But, it should not have been in anything larger than would have fit in the box. So, maybe JoAnn packed it in a too-large box. DH and I are going to get one of those super large rural type mail boxes and put it AT our driveway rather than on the other street like it's been since we moved here. Geez.

Oh, dear Lord! This is what I ordered, the representation on JoAnn website:

THIS is what they sent me, this hideous hot pink big rose print!

ETA: Being refunded on this one, have to go back to town to see if I can find something at the quilt shop now. Dang it! Sorry for the delay. One way or another, I'll get this stinking fabric! ACK!!!!!!

Aghhh I love it keep it!!! If it goes with the other fabrics. Use it.

Too late, trust me, it was awful against the quilt. I did place it next to one side. WAY too busy!

Got back from the town quilt shop, found a stunning deep rose print, much more subtle. That is the first time in over 30 years, my entire quilting career, that I paid full price at a quilt shop. But, I was desperate at this point. It's Maywood Studios, same as the center square, excellent quality fabric, very rich color.

Here you go. Check this out. See what I mean? @NanaKat Kathryn, your thoughts on this fabric opposed to the one they sent? It is gorgeous and just seems "right" with the quilt's overall tone. I like Maywood Studios color palette, too.

Oh that Maywood studio is beautiful.
next to the other I see what you mean now that they are all pictured together. Liked it before it was placed next to themselves their fabrics.

Agh that ugly purple thing is awful next to the other I see what you mean now that they are all pictured together. Liked it before it was placed next to themselves their fabrics.

I thought that would help you see how they'd each look on the quilt. It may help some that the border fabric I bought today and the center squares are both Maywood Studios so the colors probably are "in sync" with each other. And I chose fabrics to coordinate off that center square as much as possible.

The borders are pieced and ready to attach, but I'll have to start again tomorrow. A headache is coming on, probably weather-related, so it seems a better idea to be fresh tomorrow. Here it is with three of the borders just pinned on the design wall where they will go on the quilt. I love this fabric, it's hefty cotton, so nice. I misspoke, it's Maywood Studio, no "s" on the end. I know that Thousands of Bolts carries that manufacturer and it would probably be less than half the price per yard that this was for exactly the same thing, but online, you cannot always tell what the color tone really is and with this one, I needed to be certain.

I really like the way the colors have come together, the border material is a great choice!

Thank you! Glad you approve! It will be even better after it's quilted. After breakfast, will be attaching the borders, then have to clear out and vacuum the floor so I can iron the backing and then sandwich the layers together on the floor, which involves a lot of laying on my stomach and reaching over the surface of the quilt to reach the center. This size quilt is why we gave up our master bedroom for my quilt studio and sleep in the tiny bedroom.

I started a few blocks of the next one while waiting for my border fabric to arrive. It's the log cabin in the chevron block. Sort of easier, really, since you have only two sides to attach "logs" to, rather than four. I'm using pinks and grays and the lighter aquas in this one, which will be slightly different, but I can use a lot of the scraps from Miss Apiary's quilt. These blocks are 10" blocks, a tad smaller. I think I'll be doing 32 blocks on that one, a smaller project.
Like this:

ETA: On floor ready for basting.

The quilt is basted and ready to quilt. I'll start tomorrow when I'm fresh. Here is the quilt showing the backing (I don't think you ever saw it) and a mockup of the dewdrop pattern I did really quick to see if you like that or want a loopy pattern.
