I have this woman just call me and ask me if I have chicks for sale. That her 13 year old daughter wants a chick to raise. I tell her that I have 6 week old Salmon Faverolles right now. She says "Oh no, that's too old, she wants newly hatched little yellow fluffy chicks".
I tell that they are pretty much out of season right now.
She reveals to me that they have no intention of keeping the chicken, but that her daughter just wants to play with it while it's little and then "get rid of it" and that Mom won't allow her to keep it, because chickens are dirty and poop everywhere.

I know it's not good customer service, but I hung up on her!

LOL! I would have said "Sure! When you don't want it anymore, let me know and I'll come butcher it for my stew-pot!"

Good Lord....you've got to wonder. $10 says she bought a Dalmation when 101 Dalmations came out...

Sad but probably true.

Kid sounded like a spoiled brat. Mom was saying how they had hatched chicks in school and because she wasn't picked to take some home she is driving her crazy trying to find some now. Lovely. Simply Lovely.

This is exactly why I appreciate the 'must purchase 6 chicks or more' rules that states have. Keeps goofballs like this from buying one just for fun...6 scares them away!

crazy woman and i am not even going to address her parenting style!

Hi Jenna,
Well at least you know we aren't like that. The chickens we got from you are very spoiled!!! They are all doing great. BTW Happy Belated Birthday! Hope it was good.
