Yes, doesn't he look great, hardly grey at all. Newfs can live to be 14, but it is really old for them. Average is 10. But know of many who live to be over 11.

What a sweet old guy! I have fostered 2 Newfies over the years, they are one of my favorites! My ex has a Bernese Mountain Dog x Anatolian Shepherd x Border Collie mix and she is such an amazing dog. Really a perfect mix IMO, her Anatolian shows a lot & she definitely needs a person who is in control but the BC gave her some brains & she is easily trainable but not neurotic. If you don't have $100's or $1,000s to spend on a well bred purebred I would seriously recommend looking into working farm dogs Here is Bell
