You'd be surprised.. I get asked all the time what they are.. They REALLY look it when clipped.

The poodles? Yes. Not often though. I am having my girl fixed, but kept the apricot daughter.

How are they with your birds? I've always wanted one but I was never sure if I could keep their coat in pristine condition.

If you wanted their coat long, they would have to be brushed daily. Otherwise I put them in a pet clip (with varying hair styles) once their adult fur comes in.


Never once had to train their mother with the birds. She is sooo good. (she has a docked tail, but the angle of the picture makes it look like she has no tail at all.)


Rosie on chicken duty

Right now the pups are playing chase with the chickens. I just need them to try that with the geese and they will stop that altogether. The geese (dewlap toulouse) are good at helping me train puppies.

Here is my BMD Henry at 8 months old - he has been trained with the chickens since 8 weeks. We had a couple months where he kept picking them up and carrying them to me (scared the crap out of me!) but none of that now. Thank dog... lol
