After thinking about how much I tease my friends about their finding their Portuguese Podengo Pequenos at the shelter, I thought I should add this. Most, if not all, Portuguese Podengos obtained through shelters are not Podengos, just a dog with a vague resemblance. Nope, schnauzers have medium/long coat over their whole body plus furnishings. They even know the genes that decide it.
Grooming pattern is what gives them a smooth body.

No! An Inca Orchid? Was this a guess or a seen breeding? And those DNA breed tests are not even worth the postage. It has the wrong coat for Xolo or any of the spitz (+am esk).

All the schnauzers I seen were soft. Not wire. I don't own 1 but I thought they were smooth.
