I guess you can call them a semiferal horse.Konik horse! That's a new breed for me. Do all of them carry the dun gene and only in grulla, or do they have other colors as well? Gaited?

They are mostly called Mouse Dun. They can come in other colors. Some look brown or bay based Duns, others look Grulla. I think there is a picture on the internet of a Bay Konik, I'm just not sure if it's 100% pure or not.

They are decendants of the Tarpan, now extinct.

They are a Polish breed.
They have a lot of similar traits as the Tarpan.
They were once the center of Nazi experiments trying to create a German Tarpan. The horses were eaten by starving people however.

I stand corrected on that Bay Konik as well. They do only come in Grullo (Mouse Dun)
They Bay had to be a cross then, or some other breed.
