Guess what? ANOTHER hatch - a - long ! ! ! ! !

Arghhhh!! My 1588 was reading between 100.7 to 101.1 that's just way to hot for me so I knocked the factory setting of switch 4 to 3. They have been in there for one day and 7 hrs so I hope the adjustment won't have any effect on my clutch of 42:

well i'm almost on day 5 and i just couldnt wait to see what was in there hehe...well a few nothing was going on and lots of spots think i should toss them? i had 2 silkie eggs my own out of 3 that had a dark spot is that the baby or the yolk?????? i couldnt see the vains bc the light is to big for me to cover it all but will try it better soon

I locked down last night 1 wrlc from a doz shipped and 4 cm from a shipment of egg soup and I really thought not a one would develop. I can never see any movement in any Marans egg I lock down but the Cornish one was moving and I so hope it hatches. I had to look at my turkey eggs 19 days they are and I saw their feet I have 10 good ones from 15 shipped and my meat cross eggs didn't like their trip either from 24 I have 9 that are developing. Sometimes shipped eggs just don't do well. Last time I got eggs from the seller 31 out of 34 hatched....oh well it's not like I need more chicks.

Checking in on the tail-end of DAY 3: First off, the 4 eggs out of our own birds were all duds

...giant floaty yolks in 2, the other 2 were broken, but no visible life signs in the messes...As for the Light Sussex Shipped eggs, I'm EXTREMELY unexperienced @ candling & am using a lil bright LED flashlight for now, but I see that 5 out of the 11 absolutely have a dark spot &/or veining!!! YAY!!! 3 I just can't tell on, 1 looks scrambled w/ big floaty yolk, & 1 looks like the yolk is kinda stuck to one side??? The last one had a rather large crack in it, looked like it was that way before shipping,(like a star-shaped peck mark, & all others were perfect, box not damaged @ all) but it was not really visible until I candled them upon arrival. I sealed crack w/ wax before setting, but now it has another one, also only seen by candling, so I'm sure it'll be a dud. But hey, I'm doing good for a first-timer, I think.

Hey, nunna my bizz, but some folks on here told me not to toss till day 10, or @ earliest 7, that way they get ample chance, & there's no harm done even if they end up duds after all. According to the set date you posted, yours are only 5-6 days old. I'm such a newb. You may be able to tell right off the bat if they are goodies, but I just wanted to tell you in case you were new like me so you don't maybe toss out some late-bloomers by mistake.

I hope everybody's hatches turn out well!
