While posting a few pics of some of my mares I thought I'd post a separate topic about my 4-year old, Abby. I was so surprised when I discovered what she was myself, I thought it would be fun for the horse people on the forum to try to guess what breed she is.
If you guess correctly, I'll give ya a....free rooster!!
Seriously (well, you really can have a free roo if you want) when I bought her I had no idea exactly what she was. It was an impulsive decision to buy her, as I knew she was probably heading to auction. I knew what her dam was, as they were both being boarded at a barn I worked at. But I had no idea what the stallion was. Well, I got to meet him when I picked up the girl after I bought her. Needless to say I was surprised!! She is two different breeds (both mom and dad were purebred, but two completely different breeds). You might guess what half of her (the dam) is, but you'll never guess what dad was...
Here she is, dressed up like a hunter conformation baby, which, I'll admit, I thought was hysterical when I did it, given her breeding:
Guess away, guys!! I'll start throwing out clues if necessary.
