Well, It was a pretty nice day out here in the country yesterday, so I decided to go for a drive. When I passed someone's house, I noticed a big steel cooler with a square hole in the top and a wire hanging out of it- but it was stuck in a garbage can. I decided to take a better look, and what was it? A HUGE incubator!!!!
I went up and knocked on the owner's door and an old lady answered... she said that her daughter had used it way back when she lived with her, and that she didn't need it anymore. When I got home, I unloaded it and looked over it. It needed new glass for the window, and was a little dirty, but looked to be in great condition!
It is made out of a 5 ft x 3 ft x 2 ft steel Coleman brand cooler. Looks like it can easily hold 50 eggs, maybe even more if I added shelves.
It has now been running for 26 hours. Holds temperature great, humidity is a go, and now to add some eggs from my flock.
