GUESS WHAT I GOT!!!!!!

I GOT A DOUBLE YOKED GOOSE EGG!!! NOT SURE IF ITS FERTILE, BUT I'M SURE HOPING!!!!! Put it in the bator yesterday, we'll know if it's fertile in a few days!!! What do you think my chances are with this egg??

Weeeelll, I would say 50% 50% but who knows!

I know alot of time in double yolks with chickens one grows and takes up all the yolk while the other dies later in incubation, or they both take up yolk and none is left so they need to be helped out of the egg. But since this is waterfowl, it could be different!

I'm so excited. I've never had a double yoke chicken egg, and i've always wanted one, but now i have a double yoke GOOSE EGG!!!

For two healthy babies, I say your chances are very slim. There just isnt enough room in one egg for two babies to grow correctly.

One of my Buff Minorca Hens hatched out twins year before last, we were so surprised that both chicks were perfect. The twins are now big beautiful Hens My brother in law worked with chickens all of his adult life and he kept telling me that one or both chicks would die for sure..he still shakes his head everytime he sees them LOL

Someone had a thread a while back about twin chickens. They had to help a little during the hatch, but both were fine. The odd are against it, but why not?

I think Cyn tried to hatch a double yolker and the babies were connected at the butt and died. Good luck though!
