Hello, Brandi! One of my hens is named Brandy (avatar). Nice to meet you. I, too was a city sidewalk girl moved to the country. I've been here since 1985 and I doubt I could ever live in the city again. I'm relatively new to chickens, and I don't know what took me so long. I'm certain you will have a lot of fun and learn a lot here from all the fine folks. Everybody is really nice and helpful. Enjoy!

Why don't you shrink one of your water colors to avatar size and use that to identify yourself? There are so many artists on this page that I'm sure that will be a draw for making alot new friends!!! No, she and yogi didn't come, they live in Lousiana, I've just talked to Linda and Yogi through email, really, really nice people. Our meeting yesterday was great fun, even with the animal control guy driving up in the parking lot!! He said, "Ya'll can't have roosters in the Raleigh city limits" and we were like, "what roosters?!" while they were ALL crowing like mad!! People started stuffing those boxes and dog crates full of chickens into their cars!!! There were lots of people getting groceries at Krogers that stopped to look at eeryone's chickens...that manager that reported us was buying roosters from Mother Mastiff when we drove off..hope he wasn't going to fight them.

Anyway, yes, make friends with Linda, she scrapbooks and paints watercolors and obviously eats like a queen everyday, lucky girl with that cook she's married to!!!
