I purchased 5 straight runs hatchery mix 9 weeks back as 1-3 day old chicks. Unfortunately one didn’t make it. If I had to guess the two black ones are Roos and the two brown ones are pullets. Would I be correct? The one thing that’s throwing me off is I don’t see and pointed saddle feathers on them, they all seem rounded.

You won't see the pointy saddle feathers until 12 to 15 weeks old.

The first barred chick with the larger wattles I would say is a cockerel, the second barred chick has a lot of red for being so young, but isn't growing wattles yet.

The first brown one looks like a pullet, the second has that deep mahogany on the shoulders and could be a cockerel.

I'm not the best guesser though
