Guidance needed please?

Timothy Grass! Somebody else also told me about it and I could not think of that grass name to save my soul. Im gonna plant a buttload of that grass around my new pond. Thanks so much Waterdog.

Don't know how well it will do in the south but after trying a bunch of different things this seems to work, the geese are hard on it until it gets about a foot tall so we keep them off it in the spring until it gets some height to it the good thing is that it grows fast in the spring so by May we can put the geese out early enough to breed

timothy and rye are hard to keep here, the sun just becomes too much. Bahia though grows like a champ in the flight pens.

Yea I know that rye only works here in winter (great feed) I hate to hear that about the timothy. I quess I wont try that now. I will try some of those ornamental grasses they sell at lowes and see how that goes.Im not going to do much till fall anyway.Too busy with my real job for now thank goodness.

Try seeding brown millet. You plant after April 15th here in FL and it does VERY well. Bonus that is seeds and they get to enjoy the seed heads.
