I have 6 guineas ranging 11-13 weeks old. They seemed to pick on one every once in awhile. The other day I lost a guinea to a neighbors dog and since the Guineas are really going after the smallest one. I’ve seen them bite and pull feathers out. I’m not sure of all their sexes yet. The smallest is attacked when they are near food, water, or just gets too close to the flock. Is this normal? What should I do?

It is common. Provide multiple feeders and waterers along with hiding places. The hiding places need to have both an entrance and exit so that the picked on guinea does not get trapped in the hiding place.

Guineas are strange creatures for sure. I had a female guinea once named duck. She was smaller and a darker color than the others also she had a funny sounding voice. Well none of the other giuneas liked her and chased her off contantly. The only time she was ever popular was one period of time when she was the only avaliable female. Then when we got a couple more females she was ousted again. It was sad to watch, and there was not a thing we could do about it. The others would go on a walk about ( i free range) and she was not invited so we made sure she got more treets.
Im sure in the wilds of africa this is also a trait.
i dont try to figure them out, i just love them for what they are.
