Hey, guys! I've had an idea for how to keep my six guineas in the area on our farm that has the most bugs (about 6 acres). We want the guineas to roam free, but we're afraid of them wandering off into dangerous territory on our 30 acres of land.

Has anyone ever heard of a guinea fowl caller (similar to a duck caller for hunting)? Or might there be a way to make one? I've read everywhere that guineas will try and find their lost/lone friend if they hear them calling. Thought it might be a useful tool to round them up.

Guineas can be trained to come to a call. It requires repetition and treats. In a recent post, one member explains how she trained her guineas to come to a ringtone on her phone.

That was me and it was super easy to do! The chickens come when they hear it now, too, even though I didn’t try to train them to it. I imagine the geese and ducks will learn it in the next few days, since I mostly have the guineas in their yard right now. (I ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ my guineas. They get treats several times a day). I’m thinking about putting a speaker on my back porch with an old phone set up to alarm every 30-60 minutes. I need to find an auto feeder that will drop a bit of scratch then, maybe that would keep them on my property
