Need some advice or tips on keeping the neighbors guineas off of my property and from eating all of the wild bird seed looked at my home for more than 15 years neighbors just moved in less than a year barely live on 1 acre and have decided to get three or four guineas I'm not against people owning them but I am four people that own them must control them

My recommendation is to have a talk with your neighbors and tell them that you would appreciate them keeping their guineas on their own property.

Unfortunately there are a lot of people who are not good animal owners.

Welcome to BYC, and sorry that you are having to deal with this. I agree with @R2elk that it is the neighbors responsibility to keep them. Given the opportunity they will continue returning for the bird feed.

Thank You for replying! Unfortunately, we have already tried to be "civil" with the neighbors. I was met with an angry response from the neighbor to the effect " It's the country! There are no noise ordnances our guineas can roam anywhere they want to!"
After that first incident, the neighbors built a "coop" and several verbal altercations followed about containing the pests. Still, we believe this lady who owns them lets them out every morning to range and does not care if they trespass on our property.
Everyone knows how loud and obnoxious guineas are, but it's amplified when its right outside your window and patio.
I would never wish this problem on anyone.
I hate to say it, but I pray for the coyotes to start moving around soon.

Whether they realize it or not, there are Federal noise ordinances that apply everywhere. The guineas probably don't meet the criteria for the Federal noise ordinances. The part about the guineas being allowed to roam anywhere is probably not true. The guineas fall under the regulations for poultry. You will need to check local and state regulations but most areas require that poultry be contained to the owner's property.

If I had a similar situation, I would probably be harvesting guineas since they are delicious. My situation is that I don't have any cats and am tired of the neighborhood cats killing all the bunnies and lots of songbirds. I have informed my neighbors that I shoot cats. Our state G&F laws list stray cats as varmints which may be killed at any time. As far as I am concerned, any cats found on my property are "stray cats".

Walks like a guinea, talks like a guinea, destroys private property (bird feed). I believe you can shoot that guinea! I have 50-60 guineas and have told my neighbors if they see a guinea on their land that shouldn’t be there, ESPECIALLY if he is doing something they don’t like, they can handle the situation however they see fit and if they like chicken they’d probably like guinea. And if they will call me and can find me I will take care of it myself, but any animal of mine that has gotten off my acreage onto theirs is, by law, theirs to deal with however they see fit. This not only goes for guineas, but ANY livestock, dogs, cows, aardvarks, whatever. I think your neighbor is wrong about “this is the country, animáis go where they please”. I’ve never heard of any such regulation in ANY state other than a few free range states for cattle. Well, they might can go where they please, but when they get there, you can do what you please with them, and feel safe under the law in my opinion. I’ve owned guineas, land, and had good neighbors for 25 years. It’s bad to hear about folks who are not interested in reasoning with their fellow man. I’m sure there’s some mighty fine guinea recipes online, just a google away. Good hunting! Lol.
