Could someone tell all about guineas and their eggs? As in, at what age do they lay, when will the eggs be fertile, do they have a laying season, etc.? I know that they are really bad mothers, but when the chickens are older, and if I have a broodie hen, I'll give guineas eggs to them to raise. Thanks!

Heh, heh, they will lay the first summer, if you get them early and the eggs are fertile right away. Warm weather is their laying season. Yup, chickens are far better moms than guineas, even to keets.........Pop

I thought they were fertile right away but just thought I would check.
