I was mowing at the farm, and didn't realize one of the guineas was sitting on her eggs in some tall weeds I was mowing. I about ran over her as she did not fly up until the mower was practically on her. Unfortunately, I smashed two eggs and the yolks went everywhere. I felt sooooo bad!! I immediately backed up and went to the other side of the area which was about 50 feet away. When I turned the mower around, the guinea had picked up one of the eggs in her mouth and was flying right at me. I had to duck so she didn't hit me. Was the darndest thing I have ever seen. Felt so badly about the whole thing. Maybe she was trying to move the eggs, or maybe she was attacking me. I don't know! She never would sit on the eggs after that. Poor thing, who can blame her. My son took them home about 5 days later to try to incubate, but I do not think that will work. They're probably already ruined.

I'm sorry to hear that.

No, I don't think the eggs are still alive. You can try candling them though, as sometimes, eggs go into dormacy and can later hatch.

Hope it all turns out well.

I am now on my last hatch of eggs. Am soooo disappointed. I ordered 3 dozen eggs from Stromberg's and candled them this evening because lockdown is this Friday (July3). There were 16 that were completely clear - empty!! Does that mean they were never fertile eggs? I am so disappointed! Would you know what else could have caused this? I've hardly ever had an empty egg!
