Guinea fowl question

Does anyone know of a way to get guinea hens to lay eggs in the coop instead of outside?

You can try keeping the hen inside the coop until she lays an egg. It's best to have a private area in the coop where she might feel comfortable laying. Somewhere under a board or shelf would be good. My hens used to lay on the pine shavings covered floor beneath the nesting boxes that my husband built for our chickens. Once one hen started laying there, other hens followed. Soon all of our 4 guinea hens had decided to lay in the same area. They would come running from wherever they were ranging to lay their daily eggs in the coop. You can let the hen out after she lays an egg each day, but keep her in again the next day and for at least a few more days in order to reinforce the idea of laying in the coop. Keep any eggs laid in the indoor nest in the nest until laying there becomes routine. It helps if you can put some fake eggs in the spot, too. I used a couple of soft rubbery plastic peach-colored eggs that were just the right size for guinea eggs. Never could find any again when I wanted to have a few more.
