Will two guinea fowl males in a flock kill each other?

Just my bit for the sake of interest...

From my observations of the Guinea Fowl here (in my neighbourhood as well as those that are wild in the farmlands and bush veld, in South Africa), in the breeding season they almost always pair off 1:1, so to would stand to reason that Guinea Fowl will do the same in a domestic situation too?

In the winter here they join together in large flocks (I have personally seen a flock of over 200 individuals) and, although the males do a lot of chasing and feather pulling, I have never known or heard reports of fights-to-the-death happening amongst the wild Guinea Fowl.

The only time I witnessed a full cock fight between two Guineas was when a rival flock came into the territory of my neighbourhood flock, and the biggest male from each flock went at each other. The flight was over in about 5 seconds and the rival gang then left.
