Guinea fowl vs dog

I heard guinea fowls normally wander off and don't always stay near the coop, not too far away I have this dog that isn't trained to be used to smaller creatures around him and will certainly kill birds. I'm afraid my guinea will wander off to his direction and might not outrun him. Besides that, every time in my flock when someone starts to fly... everyone joins the bird and flys with it. So I'm also afraid that my guinea will lead my chickens to my dog, but most likely not. Anyway, what are the chances of my guinea outsmarting my dog?

Most likely they will scream and annoy the hell out of your dog and he will do his best to avoid them, assuming they are adults.

Guineas definitely roam a bit, and that is one of the reasons of having them. They can't do much about ticks and such just hanging out right beside the coop, right?

They won't try to outrun him, they will fly up into the trees the same as they do with foxes.

Is your dog in a separate yard or enclosure? They will learn to avoid him if he is threatening.

No, he is not in a separate yard, only like 10 feet away, at least a safe distance away from the chickens. He is also smart, he doesn't act threatening, he lures them in by being quiet and looking cute..
