Guinea has lumps on her feet and legs.

My poor guinea has these lumps on her feet and legs and they are getting bigger. Any ideas about what has caused these? Or what i should do?

Poor girl! I don’t know... Is she your only affected bird? How long has the swelling been present? Gout? Cellulitis (infection of the soft tissues)? Is a vet an option? You might try posting on the diseases site since most guinea diseases are treated the same way as in other poultry. I hope that there is something that can be done for her!

Thank you for replying. She has had the swelling for a couple of weeks. The guineas don't stand still for me to count (lol) but I think we have 25 and she is the only one affected. I only posted yesterday because she is beginning to have difficulty walking. I have plantar faciitis and she looks like me limping about. I will post on the diseases site. Thank you for the suggestion.

I had a Guinea hen with a swollen leg yesterday and I used a scalpel to slit a little hole in the side. Her poor leg was all matter, she must have gotten a stab of something. I removed all the matter and then sprayed it with alamicein spray and put a bandage tape around it. She seems to be walking better already! Just remember to keep changing the bandage tape

Bumblefoot (left) appears as a single callus-like scabby lump in the pad at the bottom middle of the foot, and usually affects one foot. Swelling due to gout (right) can result in infected sores appearing underneath the toe Joints, and typically affects both feet.
