I don’t know what kind of barn it is, but my Guineas used to lay and brood in the rafters of our barn where they felt much safer because they were off the ground and near horses that’s protected her.

It’s an open air barn.. there are rafters.. I didn’t know they’d go high to lay, I thought they were ground nesters!? Guess I need to start looking up when I go to the barn

Welp... on what would have been her 7th night out of the roost, she decided to roost. I’m guessing something happened to her nest (most likely a snake, since she’s fine) and has abandoned the nest. I’m sleeping easier knowing she’s locked up safe!
